The sense of the modifications of Elsnic Square in Prague is mainly the return of the bed of the Brook Rokytka to its original form. The overlap of the larger part of the brooks forms an undefined space, which is neither a square nor a park. Our effort is hence to remove this artificial concrete overlap and return an atmosphere with flowing water to the square. In front of the Palace Svět, we create a reinforced covered surface which enables a view of the Brook Rokytka. Thanks to the placement of several water elements, it offers a space of the new square also the possibility of direct contact with water. The reinforced space above the Brook Rokytka will be defined by a staircase intended for seating on the one hand and on the other a bridge construction into which we place the operations of a café. This is complemented by the possibility to exhibit objects or paintings and also by a small hall for 60 people, where it is possible to organise concerts, theatre productions or for instance literary evenings. In the summer, the café will operate also in the outdoor area on the new Elsnic Square, by which the enlivening of the entire area will be supported.
